Violation of Human Rights in Lakshadweep NewZ

 Violation of rights in Lakshasweep as the draft Lashadweep Development Authority Regulation 2021, gives unhindered power to the administrator to remove or relocate islanders from their property without consent or justification

This is a violation of ‘Right to Livelihood’, a fundamental right. 

This development regulation is not considerate at all about the islander population. The administrator is from BJP and has been given almost full authority of the island. The regulation has also banned production and consumption of beef which honestly had no point other than the fact cows are sacred in hindu tradition. There is little to no population of hindus on the island so there was no need for such thing as tribal people and islandersshould get to live however they wish when they are secluded from the mainland where protests regarding such issue can take place. This is just basic oppression of their rights for the government’s benefit. Violation of a fundamental right is a big thing and should not be in any circumstance allowed. Not much media coverage is given to this issue because the central govt doesn’t want it to be highlighted and lakshadweep islanders can not do much without support from the mainland.
