 Twitter storm seeks chapter on the North eastern states in NCERT books 

Happened after Paras Singh, a youtuber from Punjab called a Congress MLA from Arunachal Pradesh ‘Chinese’. The youtuber had ridiculed the MLA for appealing to the PM to ban Battle Grounds India, a variant of PUBG 

Assuming a nationality as a slur is wrong. Using that slur against others for their looks is wrong. Posting a video on a public platform using that assumed slur is wrong. I think it right that the north eastern community is now using this ridicule as a tool to get representation. We as a nation do not pay much attention towards the northeast. Generations after generations of northeasterns have been insluted by their own country insinuating that they are foreigners in their land due to us thinking they don’t “look”a certain way to be Indian. Children in schools need to be educated properly about the northeastern culture. We should not think it something special. These are people of our nation. They need representation as normally as all of us do. Discussions about their culture should also flow as easily as those of hindus or sikhs. It has been 74 years since Independence and we still have need for a Twitter storm to remind us that we are forgetting and insulting communities of our own country.
