 Supreme Court seeks Union decision on ex gratia payment

The Centre reported that they do have funds but they are focusing them on food and medical care. My question is why is the Union government building infrastructure rather than providing people with the money they desperately require to meet their daily needs. Families with their sole income makers dead or sickly, orphans with no one left as their guardian do not need hospitals or a new Parliament. They wish to have money that will enable them to fetch for themselves. The government needs to decide whether they will provide for these impotent people. Many fundings can be relocated to better help with ex gratia payment. The indecisiveness of the BJP government has left thousands of people hanging. The reasoning of focusing funding on public health interventions, social protection, and economic recovery is not an answer to the apex court’s question.
