Myanmar in Turmoil NewZ

Killings have crossed the 1000 mark and journalists are being captured in Myanmar under Junta Forces’ rule

Since 1st February 2021, the military has been terrorizing Myanmar. Aung San Suu Kyi, the symbol for democracy and national leader of Myanmar was captured on the aforementioned date. Junta Forces have taken over every aspect of Myanmar and made it a war zone. Several newspapers and media outlets have been shut down or banned, pro-democracy protesters are being murdered in cold blood, people have been internally displaced, the right to education is being violated, Homophobia is prevailing over justice, access to information, and humanitarian resources is denied, and human rights have been thrown out the window.People of Myanmar are trying to get their hands on any medium which enables them to tell the world what is happening in their country. Amnesty International is urging ASEAN countries to exercise universal and other forms of jurisdiction to investigate any person or organization who may be reasonably suspected of crimes against humanity, war crimes, or other crimes under international law in Myanmar. We can help too. Support the local news providers from Myanmar, donate to human rights funds, educate yourself on what is happening, and spread the word.
